HOWTO TOR + WINDOWS + IRC FREENODE/QUAKENET

If you want to connect to IRC via tor on windows, you follow this guide with the exception of step 1 and 2. Step 1 and 2 should on windows instead be performed as folllows:

1. Get TOR

Go to https://www.torproject.org/ and click download tor, then download tor bundle for windows.

After downloading and extracting it, you start it. You will get the TOR browser up and running eventually. If you close the browser, tor will also close. So in order to have tor running, you must not close the browser, just minimize it. You have now successfully started tor on windows.

2. Install hexchat

Download the latest hexchat for windows from their official website http://hexchat.github.io/downloads.html
